The 2011 Guinness Book of World Records was released on September 14th, so is anyone surprised that "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" beat out "Dark Knight" for the Highest Opening-Day Gross sales at $72.7 million.

In the 2010 version "Twilight" made it in under the record for Highest-Grossing Movie By A Female Director.

Hey Shacksters! You didn’t really think we’d only spend one weekend celebrating birthdays did ya? In Cullen style, Lab Tech Andi’s whole stash is full of vampire Bella to keep those fic withdrawals under control. Bella had managed, with a little help from Alice, to successful dodge all the party people for her birthday and her wish for a quiet celebration at home was granted. Oddly enough, Esme still felt the desire to make a cake, despite the fact that none of the Cullens would be partaking in it. I think she just did it because it gave her yet another reason to entertain the occupants of the lab.

When the authors and I walked into the house, it was obvious that Alice and Esme had been extremely busy transforming the living room into what one might imagine the interior of a gigantic marshmallow to look like. Every surface was covered or draped in soft, white, plush coverings and thousands of large, white pillows were scattered all over the floor. It was beautiful and made you want to dive right into the middle of it.

“Wow, this is incredible!” I breathed, eyes wide.

“It really is, isn’t it?” Bella was suddenly standing beside me staring at the living room with all of us.

I turned to look at her, “Did you know they were going to do this?”

“Nope, but that’s Alice for ya!” she replied with a grin. Then a small figure appeared from the backdoor, squealed and blurred passed us launching themselves into the mountain of pillows.

That small figure was soon followed by a hulking blur shouting, “Nessie, watch me!” Emmett sprang into the air and completed a flip before landing in the pillows. Nessie laughed and clapped her hands exclaiming, “AGAIN! AGAIN!”

“Hey Nessie, want to see daddy try?” Edward called over to her. She nodded without hesitation and stepped back. Like a rocket, Edward shot towards the mountain and as he launched himself into the air, he spun once and completed two backward flips before he landed softly in the pillows. Nessie laughed and bounced over to him throwing her arms around his neck.

“Show off,” Emmett mumbled as all three of them climbed out of the pillows and soon the rest of the Cullens joined us; Esme carrying a cake with candles lit. We all sang and Bella and Nessie blew out the candles together.

“Present time!” Alice sang as she danced over with three packages. Bella just glared at her. “Don’t give me that look missy!” Alice glared back at her. “All these gifts were selected with peace and quiet in mind. At least you can’t give yourself paper cuts anymore. Go get comfortable everybody; Esme will serve cake after the gifts are open.”

“To the pillows!” Jasper declared as he marched over to the mountain and flung himself into the center. Everybody laughed as we all crawled in and made ourselves comfortable. Then Bella opened her gifts revealing a rare first edition of “Withering Heights” (because her other copy was so worn), a rare first edition of “Dracula” (because Emmett and Jasper thought Bella should know what a REAL vampire acted like, which made us all laugh), and an iPad (so that she could read any book, listen to music, or even read some of the fan fiction recommendations over the wi-fi anytime she wanted). Esme brought over several pieces of cake for the humans while Bella thanked everyone for the gifts.

With cake in hand, I looked over at Emmett, “So, if Edward had been the human and Bella was the vampire, what kind of vampire do you think she would have been?”

“Oh Andi, that’s easy! She would have bitten him that first day.” He said reclining back into his spot. “Eddie here would have been a dead man.” He chuckled at the thought.

“I’m not so sure about that,” Carlisle interjected. “Bella is who she is; turning her really didn’t change her personality. So I think she would have fought the urge just like Edward did.”

“Do you think she would have enjoyed vampirism more than Edward?” I asked taking a bite of my cake.

“Hey now!” Edward argued. “I’ve enjoyed being a vampire!”

Jasper rolled his eyes and looked at Edward, “Oh please! Before Bella, the self-loathing that flowed off you daily was enough to drive any human to over-dose. Believe me; I do not miss that at all!” Bella and Rosalie giggled knowing that was probably true.

“I really never acted much like a human anyway,” Bella stated as she snuggled closer to Edward. “I probably wouldn’t have looked at it if it were a curse like Edward used to.” Then he kissed her nose and they both smiled.

“So, is this something you want the authors to take on? See what kind of vamp they would make her?” I asked the group as I finished off my cake and set the plate aside.

“Oh yeah! This will be awesome!” Emmett looked like he’d just received the best news ever.

“I guess we should be headed back to the lab then,” I started to get up but stopped when Alice raced out of the room and back in again carrying several laptops.

“Don’t go. Bella wants quiet anyway, so she’ll just sit and read. These laptops are all setup, so you can work here.” Alice said as she handed each of the authors a computer.

“Well, okay then, for Bella’s birthday, we’ll work here” I told them and the authors cheered.

So as we settled in to our plush mountain, all my deals have an essence of vampire Bella, even if Edward isn’t human in all of them. I hope you enjoy:

My first immortal Bella lives in a tale called “Bella, The Lioness” by BellaMadonna. In this in-progress story, Bella survives unimaginable odds as a human, but when her body begins to fail her, Carlisle gives her a choice she never knew she had. As a vampire, she knows there’s not much she can’t over come, even the allure of a singer. But when that singer breaks her heart, will she be strong enough to love again? I love that this story is not just a reverse Twilight even though the characters stay true to their namesakes. There are things here that will make you giggle, I know reading about Edward’s great-grandfather made me laugh a little. If you want to know why, you’ll have to read it to find out.

My next vampire Bella has her own coven in “The Hunt” by AcrossTheSkyInStars. In this in-progress tale, Edward and Emmett are brothers who hunt supernatural creatures. However, something goes horribly wrong while hunting down a werewolf in Ohio and Emmett is kidnapped by a vampire. Not sure if his brother is dead or alive, Edward is on the hunt to find him, battling the supernatural and his lust for the coven leader...Bella. It won’t be long before Edward figures out things are not always as they seem.

This next vampire Bella in “Eternally Damned” by twiXlite, doesn’t have a human Edward, but do you remember when Bella asked “So where did it all start?” This, in-progress tale is the answer to that question. It all started with Edward. He is THE ultimate vampire, the original. What happens when rumors in Volterra cause him to pay the Cullens' a visit just to see what they’re up to? Will he find them a threat to the world he's spent an eternity shaping and destroy them or will he find something else? This Edward is pretty dark and cocky, but just for Jasper’s sanity, there’s no self-loathing.

My last deal is something short and sweet, just to clear the palette, called “Once Bitten” by NoMoreThanUsual. This is a sort of missing scene one-shot for the original Twilight saga. It’s a conversation where Bella and Edward imagine how things would have been different on their first day in Biology if Bella were the vampire and Edward the human. ::Team Twilight:: Fan Fiction Friday

Hey, got big plans for the weekend yet? How were you going to celebrate Bella and Renesmee’s birthdays? Well, if you were still undecided about your plans, just go visit Lab Tech Andi. She’s had the authors put together a wonderful assortment of tales to keep you busy all weekend, so when you get to the blue door behind the shack, knock the beat of the traditional “Happy Birthday” song and the password is: “Distraction”. It was going to be a big weekend; there was just no way of getting around that, so we were getting prepared. It was Renesmee’s and Bella’s birthdays and I had the authors busy putting together stories especially for the occasion. Since neither of them really needed anything and Bella always put up such a fuss if you bought her anything, I figured a selection of stories was the perfect gift. The authors loved the idea and the lab was a very pleasant place to hang out, until Bella came rushing through the door and into my supply closet.

Hesitantly, I knocked on the door, “Bella? Is everything okay?”

“No Andi, it’s not,” she whispered from the other side of the door. “I’m hiding from the evil pixie that is trying to make my existence a living hell.”

“You know she’ll find you in there, right?” I asked stating the obvious. “So why don’t you come out here and tell me what’s going on.”

Slowly she emerged from the closet and sat in a chair facing the giant aquarium that covered one wall. “All I asked was that we keep the whole thing small, just family and friends, but I go to put gas in the Volvo and what do I see? A flyer detailing activities for the whole weekend for the entire city of Forks just to celebrate my birthday!”

I flipped on my computer and navigated to the Forks, WA website. Outlined as clear as day, under the events section were breakfasts, scavenger hunts, tours of the high school, and there was even a ball. “Um, Bella?” I hedged, “This is a lot of stuff, are you sure Alice arranged all this?” I knew Alice could go a little overboard, but I wasn’t so sure about this.

“Who else would have gone to all this trouble?” she dead-panned as she blankly stared at the fish.

That’s when I decided to Google it and saw all the movie releases and other people throwing their own parties. This was way beyond Alice now. “Bella, honey? I don’t think you’re expected to show-up to any of these events, there’s just too many of them.” I told her, trying to keep my voice soothing.

“What do you mean?” swiftly she moved to stand behind me so she could read the screen. “Holy Crow!” she gasped in my ear.

Then, once again the lab door fluttered open and Edward rushed to her side in an instant, “Don’t worry about any of these things, Love. All these people are just looking for a reason to celebrate; Alice had nothing to do with it. Come, we’ll hide out in the cottage all weekend and wait for all the madness to blow-over.” He told her as he wrapped his arms around her. Then looking down to me, “Do you think the authors are up to the task of distracting the masses with their stories?”

I smiled back at him, “Edward, I think they’d be delighted to.” And then I stood, giving Bella a quick hug, “Happy Birthday, Bella. I hope you’re granted the peace you asked for.”

“Thanks, Andi” she hugged me back and then they were out the door.

To entice and distract you from Bella's birthday we thought we'd focus on Renesmee's, so my deals this week are full of children of all types. However, that doesn't mean that these tales aren't of the adult variety.

First up is “Best of Both Worlds” by StarlightSuccubus. This is a saucy little one chapter fic where Edward reflects and talks to Bella about his thoughts about being a father. Bella has other revelations of her own.

Next up is “You Don't Know Anything” by TwiDi. In this in-progress tale, 21 chapters so far, Bella’s mother and step-father are killed by a drunk driver, leaving her with a newborn brother. A strained relationship with her father drives Bella to claim that her baby brother is her own child, that way Charlie won’t force her to give up the last bit of her mother she has left. Suddenly finding herself in Forks with a child, how will she cope with unsaid secrets and the advances of a green-eyed jerk all while unknown dangers are lurking behind every corner. The unique thing about this story is the way the author makes characters like James, Tanya, and Victoria, who are usually portrayed as villains, into remarkable friends and supportive people for Bella in her time of need.

Third, I’ve got “The Rage” by Kismetian. This completed tale of 14 chapters tells the story of how Bella Swan rescues a small green eyed copper haired baby boy from a car stranded in a flooded creek. In turn, she is then rescued by the apparent father, a very angry and untrusting Edward Cullen. Although with his temperament, Bella’s not so sure she trust him to love and care for his own child and what about the boy’s mother. This story is a rollercoaster and Bella’s wit is not to be missed.

Lastly, I have “Bella Swan: Kidnapper” by Kambria Rain. This fun, completed fic shares the story of how Bella Swan, mother of one, meets Edward Cullen, father of two, by unintentionally kidnapping his children. The description of the neighbors in this story is hilarious and the Bella that you see is the cool mom that every child wished they had or had known. It's 23 chapters you will laugh yourself sick reading.

:: Team Eclipse :: Eclipse comes to DVD for Christmas

Twitter was a buzz this morning as peeps returned and returned and returned some very important news finally regarding Eclipse and a DVD release date! 

Mark your calendar's ladies and gentleman, Eclipse will hit the shelves at midnight on December 4, 2010! 

Above, are the front covers of the DVD and so I've read, it looks like there is no more than two to chose from, unlike New Moon where you had a tough decision. (I'm guilty, I own three copies of New Moon, LOL)


According to VideoETA, there will be a Blu-Ray copy, a regular copy, and a two disc set. The two disc set will contain the usual, deleted and extended scenes, behind the scenes look at how it was made, photo gallery, music videos and a Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Stephenie Meyer commentary. 


Let's all hope for that commentary!!

::Team Breaking Dawn:: SPOILER ALERT- What's Being Filmed Where & When

A source at the Louisiana Film Commission has revealed which scene from the anticipated final installment of the Twilight movie franchise will be filming very near to the Baton Rouge area.


Recently, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the highly lucrative film series The Twilight Saga, announced that filming for the franchise's final chapter, Breaking Dawn, will partially take place in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A source within the Louisiana Film Commission has disclosed to me that members of the Breaking Dawn production crew have already scouted out the location they are planning to use for the film; which the studio is releasing in two parts.

The scene will be the final confrontation between the Cullen clan, who are joined by the Quileute wolf pack and their friends, and the Volturi. The scene, most of which is taken directly from the novel, has been extended to include several physical fights. It is expected that many Twilight fans will be flocking to Louisiana when the studio begins filming in the area; which is why the exact area the production team has decided on is being kept tightly under wrap.

I feel a roadtrip coming on!!!
