::Team Twilight:: Fan Fiction Friday

Good Morning Shacksters! You’ve been up for hours now right? Hunting for that amazing deal to blast you into full on Christmas shopping. Well, once the thrill of the hunt has worn off and you’re ready to relax, pop on over to the Love Shack for some deals that Lab Tech Andi isn’t offering anywhere else. She’s been hunting for something special just for today, so when you get to the blue door at the back of the shack, knock the beats for “Birthday“ by Kings of Leon and the password is “Blowout”. Be Safe!

The papers were scattered all around me, they all looked the same, and the lab was a disaster. Alice laughed at my confusion. She already knew where we would be going and I was just along of the ride. It was Black Friday and this was one of Alice’s favorite days of the whole year.

“Alice, why don’t you just tell me where we’re going and I’ll only look at those advertisements.” I said turning the pages of yet another sale paper not really seeing anything I needed.

“Because if you don’t look through them, you won’t know if there’s anything else you’ll want.” She replied back. “You never know what you’ll find.” Then she stopped for only a fraction of a second and looked at me. “Oh my, Friday will really be a busy day.” I imagine she was envisioning the insanely long lines we’d be standing in until she asked, “do you know who we very rarely see stories about?“

“Ok, that was random,” I replied tilting my head.

“Carlisle. We so rarely see stories about Carlisle and do you know whose birthday is on Friday?” she continued to quiz; I just shook my head and blushed at my errant fantasies about Carlisle last week. “It’s Peter Facinelli’s Birthday and he does such a good job playing Carlisle in those movies. We should do something nice for him.”

I continued to flip thru pages, “did you want to send him a gift? Here’s awesome deal on a Wii game system.” I pointed down to the page, but she shook her head.

“No, anything we bought would get to him in time. I think he needs a day in the lab.” She looked at me now and her eyes were bright. “It would be perfect!”

Spinning around in my chair, I opened the file cabinet, “We can certainly do that! I’ve been holding onto a few tales that will be just perfect.”

“Excellent” she said clapping her hands. “Oh, and be ready by 3am or we’ll miss the deals.”

“3am! Who in their right mind shops at 3am?” Without even answering my question, she giggled again and left me to my work.

So, to pay homage to our very favorite doctor, I’ve pulled out all the stops and found some very delicious Carlisle tales at a very special, once in a lifetime price. Enjoy!

My first mysterious fic door buster comes from a tale called “Past and Present” by GiveUsAKiss413. Everything that Edward knew about his creation was a complete and total lie. He was miserable without ever realizing the true reason behind those feelings, it just felt like he was missing something. Carlisle had the answer, but chose not to enlighten Edward to the real events of his past out of fear of losing his only companion. Until she knocked on the door; ready to put right her past and seek forgiveness.

My second epic fic door buster deal is titled “A Light in the Darkness” by SweetT129. Whether you’re mortal or immortal, Life is fragile and can change in an instant. Edward and Bella both knew this all too well, each taking turns knocking at death’s door. What if, during the battle with the newborns, death had finally answered that door and claimed one of them? What if death didn’t feel that one was enough? Alice had her visions but it still wasn’t fast enough to save Edward or Esme and they were lost. Carlisle knew that losing a mate was nearly impossible for a vampire to recover from; it was what drove Victoria to create a newborn army after all. So, what will it take to pick up the pieces again and life their lives for the lost. Will they be able to recover and discover love again?

My final fic door buster deal for the day is a wonderful tale called “Taking Chances” by muggleinlove. In this fic we meet widowed and single father of two teenage children, Dr. Carlisle Cullen. He’s a consultant physician at the hospital and teaches medical classes at Stanford University and for the past eight years, he’s been nearly sleepwalking through his life. He’s been so consumed by his work and the absence of his dead wife that it never occurred to him that things would change. That is until he first lays eyes on his new student, Isabella Swan. She’s a first year medical student who is smart, beautiful, and instantly attracted to her professor. For the first time in as long as Carlisle can remember, he’s actually feeling something again even if they both know this relationship is risky. Is this a risk they are willing to take?

Being that it’s Peter’s birthday, and pie is the new cake, I recommend you crank-up the oven and bake a “Caramel Apple Pie”
Ingredients
Two frozen pie crusts for 9-inch pie.
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 teaspoon sugar

Filling Ingredients:
1/4 cup thick caramel ice cream topping
6 medium (6 cups) tart cooking apples, peeled, sliced 1/4-inch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Lightly toss together ice cream topping, apples and lemon juice in large bowl. Add 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; toss lightly. Spoon apple mixture into prepared crust.

Cut out 10 (1/2-inch) strips with sharp knife or pastry wheel from second frozen pie crust. Place 5 strips, 1 inch apart, across filling in pie pan. Weave remaining 5 strips at right angles to strips already in place. Trim ends. Fold trimmed edge of bottom crust over strips; build up an edge. Crimp or flute edge. Brush strips with 1 tablespoon melted butter; sprinkle with 1 teaspoon sugar. Cover edge of crust with 2-inch strip aluminum foil.

Bake for 35 minutes. Remove aluminum foil. Continue baking for 20 to 30 minutes or until crust is lightly browned and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust. Cool pie 30 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with a candle in the middle.

Well, shopping with Alice is exhausing so I'm going back to bed. Tweet (FanFicDealer), Message me on Facebook, or email (fanficdealer@gmail.com) if you want to talk shop.

The deal has been made. ;)
