Los Angeles, CA, June 26, 2010 – Today Cybergraphix Animation announced the addition of Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen, Twilight Saga)  to the cast of upcoming anime DVD feature Guardians of Luna. Kellan will play the lead role of Carson Stone in the dark-action film, which will be completed in Fall 2011, and distributed by FUNimation Entertainment in North America.

Guardians of Luna centers around Carson Stone, who has come to Steelhenge looking for answers about his lineage. Driven by a mysterious letter from his father, what Carson uncovers is a city bearing an ancient curse. With each full moon, the city is terrorized by a pack of vicious werewolves. City leaders plan to eradicate the threat, and Carson must team up with three other werewolves in order to protect an ancient power source. In the process, they discover a dark secret about their ancestors that will force the “heroes” to make a crucial decision…on which could save humanity, or destroy it.

::Team Bella:: Kristen Stewart signs onto adaption of Kerouac's "On the Road"

As Kristen Stewart begins wrapping up one youth-oriented epic, she’s signed on for another.
Gossip Cop can confirm that the Twilight star’s next role will be Dean Moriarty’s wife Marylou in a film adaptation of On the Road, Jack Kerouac’s landmark 1950s novel. Pre-production kicks off in July, and filming begins in August.
The location is still to be determined.
Garrett Hedlund (also in the upcoming TRON Legacy and Love Don’t Let Me Down) has been attached to the Moriarty role for a couple of years.
Kerouac’s alter ego Sal Paradise will be played by Sam Riley.
Walter Salles of The Motorcycle Diaries will direct.

::Team Emmett:: Kellan Goes Shirtless in new thriller "Meskada"

The Tribeca Film Festival is just days away now and New Yorkers are starting to prepare for their city's annual celebration of film. There are some big names this year, starting with "Shrek Forever After," the (supposed) final chapter in the series, which opens the fest this year.

Today I'm here to showcase "Meskada," a thriller from writer/director Josh Sternfeld starring Nick Stahl, Rachel Nichols and "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz. The story follows a small-town detective investigating the death of a young child, killed during a home robbery. Not that you get a sense of that here; what you do get a sense of is Lutz, shirtless. ::Team Edward:: Water For Elephants Hiring Extras.

Want to be seen in an upcoming Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon flick? Producers of "Water for Elephants" (which will also star recent-Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz) posted an ad this morning on Craigslist in Los Angeles seeking extras of various types for the film, which currently in pre-production. If you’re in L.A. and available for the casting on April 17th, this could be your chance at cinematic glory!

“Water for Elephants” pairs Robert and Reese together once again (remember when Robert played Reese’s son in 2004’s “Vanity Fair”?) in a tale based on the historical novel of the same name by Sara Gruen. The story, as told in the novel, follows a series of intense memories by Jacob Jankowski, a man in his 90s. Jacob remembers the year he was 23, preparing for his final exams at Cornell University, when he received news that his parents were killed in a car accident.


As "WFE" continues, Jacob leaves school to join the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth and put his skills to use during the Great Depression. When Jacob — who presumably aspires to be like his veterinarian father — sees how badly head trainer August (Christoph) treats the animals, he struggles to reconcile August’s brutality with his at times charming personality. The plot thickens as Jacob, a virgin, falls in love with August’s wife Marlena (Reese). Sounds juicy, eh?

The Craigslist ad (which is "verified," according to the "WFE" Twitter account) notes that the production is currently seeking the following:

- Caucasian men with very 1930s looking period faces

- African American men with short 1930s period haircuts, all size 46 coat or smaller

- Caucasian women with shoulder length hair or shorter, size 6 or smaller

- Also you should note: "No piercings, tattoos, no breast implants, no artificial nails, no highlighted or colored hair."

Screenwriter Richard LaGravenese is adapting Gruen’s novel and Francis Lawrence of “I am Legend” and “Constantine” fame will direct. All signs point to this becoming R-Pattz’s next big hit, so get your pictures together NOW!

Ashley Greene of Twilight fame is set to star in the comedy "Butter" with actress Jennifer Garner, who is one of the film's producers.
Greene will play a high school rebel in the film, which begins shooting in Louisiana next week and follows residents of a small town in the Midwestern United States who prepare for an annual butter-carving contest, the Hollywood Reporter said on Friday.

Greene, 23, also reprises her role of vampire Alice Cullen in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, which is set to be released on June 30 as well as the fourth, Breaking Dawn, which is expected to hit theaters in 2011.
The films, based on novels by Stephenie Meyer, star Robert Pattinson as Edward and Kristen Stewart as his mortal teen love interest Bella.

Look out R-Patz fans, Robert Pattinson might be about to go all rocker on us... The Twilight star has reportedly just landed his dream role, playing music legend Kurt Cobain.
While Rob steps into the Nirvana frontman's no-doubt grungy shoes, it is thought that his leading Courtney Love lady will be played by none other than blonde bombshell Scarlett Johansson.

And Rob - who has previously made no secret of wanting to share his musical talents with the world - must thrilled at the thought of getting to sink his teeth into playing Cobain, who sensationally shot himself in 1994.
The Sun reports that the 23-year-old has been in regular contact with Courtney Love, who only agreed to the film on the condition that ‘she gets to decide the main aspects of the project, including director, casting, screenplay and music,' says an inside source.
And it looks as though Rob and Scarlett were top of her list.

‘Robert has been calling and emailing her non-stop,' says the source.
‘She has been a bit wound up by his manners, but he is her number one choice to play Kurt.'
Tread carefully Rob. Nobody wants to get on the wrong side of Miss Love...
‘She is adamant Scarlett will play her,' the source added. ‘Scarlett is friendly with Frances Bean, her daughter with Kurt.'

The Hole singer has reportedly been in touch with director David Fincher - the man behind Fight Club, Se7en and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - about the project, which has been given the initital working title of All Apologies.
The film was originally pitched a few years ago, with Zac Efron suggested as the actor to take on Kurt - but was swiftly blasted by Courtney with a very firm no.

Paramount has used Yahoo to hand out two new character posters for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender. They’ve gone with the look over yourshoulder pose for this one, which I suppose is better than floating heads.

Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Four nations tied by destiny when the Fire Nation launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction. Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements. Aang teams with Katara (Nicole Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother, Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), to restore balance to their war-torn world. Based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series, the live-action feature film The Last Airbender is the opening chapter in Aang's struggle to survive.

He may not have won the part of Conan The Barbarian, but The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Kellan Lutz is past that . . . and, according to Just Jared, he's already signed on for a new picture.
The film is to be entitled Love, Wedding, Marriage, and Lutz will reportedly portray the husband of a marriage counselor whose parents split up, causing her (portrayed by Mandy Moore) to go into career mode to try and reconcile them. The director of the project is going to be My Best Friend's Wedding star Dermot Mulroney, and this will be his first stint as a director.
This will be Mandy Moore's second recent wedding-oriented film, after 2007's License To Wed (with Robin Williams and The Office star John Krasinski).

Robert Pattinson's brought plenty of dough to movie theaters, so why not bring Water for Elephants?
Now the New Moon hottie and Oscar winner Sean Penn are, per Variety, getting ready to join Reese Witherspoon in the adaptation of Sara Gruen's best-selling novel about a circus veterinarian working for the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth during the Great Depression.

I Am Legend's Francis Lawrence is attached to direct the Fox 3000 feature.

::Team Twilight:: The BIG List of upcoming Films for the cast.

While the "Twilight Saga" may be giving us some of the biggest blockbusters of its time, most of the series' stars are indie actors at heart. It's no surprise, then, that this week's Sundance Film Festival will unveil three highly anticipated films for Twilighters: "The Runaways," "Welcome to the Rileys" and "Skateland."
In 2010, however, that's just the tip of the iceberg. From blockbusters to indies, quirky love stories to serious dramas, the "Twilight" gang is branching out. With that in mind, here are the top 10 "Twilight"-related movies of 2010 (release dates subject to change, of course). How many will you be lining up to see?
"The Runaways" (March 19)
What more can we write about this eagerly anticipated biopic covering the '70s rockers who broke boundaries, hearts and more than a few pieces of their own equipment? Kristen Stewart rocks out alongside Dakota Fanning, Scout Taylor-Compton and Alia Shawkat, and if the trailer we premiered last month is any indication, this film could prove to the haters that KStew is a lot more than just Bella Swan. Kristen as Joan Jett? Put another dime in the jukebox, baby.
"Remember Me" (March 12)
All of Hollywood is asking one simple question these days: Can Rob Pattinson open a non-"Twilight" movie? We'll find out soon enough, as he stars alongside Emilie de Ravin in this romantic drama that similarly involves family, tragedy and issues of eternal love — but minus the bloodsucking.
"Warrior" (TBD)
Kellan Lutz finally lands his first starring role in this indie film about a lacrosse player who reacts to his father's death by rebelling against anything he can find — until his dad's old Marine buddy becomes determined to straighten him out. Besides the fact that it gives "Twilight" fans a double dose of their favorite stars, there's something oddly fascinating about the fact that Ashley Greene plays Kellan's girlfriend.
"Welcome to the Rileys" (TBD)
James Gandolfini is Doug, a man whose life is in shambles since his daughter was killed eight years ago. Kristen Stewart is Mallory, a 16-year-old stripper who offers him sex — but all he wants is someone to be with while he gets his head together. As Doug's wife also comes into the equation, the couple find themselves acting as surrogate parents for the wayward teen. All reports are that it's KStew's most adult role yet — and we'll learn plenty more soon enough as the Sundance reports roll in.
"Girlfriend" (TBD)
Like so many of his franchise co-stars, Jackson Rathbone will aim to bust out as a leading man in 2010. This intense indie film has Jacksper playing a man caught up in an unorthodox love triangle involving a man with Down syndrome. Jackson is providing the soundtrack through his band 100 Monkeys, and if their music is any indication this will be a film that isn't afraid to take some risks.
"Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" (TBD)
Even if "Twilight" star Anna Kendrick weren't in this, it would still be one of our most anticipated films of the year. Based on the beloved Bryan Lee O'Malley graphic novels, the movie focuses on a 23-year-old slacker (Michael Cera) who falls in love with a girl (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) but has to battle her seven evil ex-boyfriends if he wants to get a chance with her. Kendrick has said the film is "really fun" and that she spends the whole movie screaming at Michael Cera on the phone — sounds good enough for us!
"Eclipse" (June 30)
It's the big kahuna, the top dog, the whole enchilada. And so far, virtually nothing has been released that gives us any indication of what David Slade's "Twilight" movie will be like. Who are we kidding? We're there anyway.
"Valentine's Day" (February 12)
OK, so half of Hollywood is in this movie. But the two that "Twilight" fans will care about most are Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner — in his first post-"Saga" acting appearance. It promises to be this year's "He's Just Not That Into You," and all indications are that the Taylors have a small amount of screen time. But they spend it making out — so how can you not be curious?
"The Last Airbender" (July 2)
Now we all understand why they dropped "Avatar" from the title. But although this M. Night Shyamalan-directed adaptation of the popular kids' franchise might not make a billion dollars, it still seems likely to be the biggest non-"Twilight" blockbuster that any of the franchise's alumni will be involved with this year. Jackson Rathbone stars as Sokka, a warrior who wields swords and martial arts as powerfully as Jasper Hale does that creepy stare.
"Skateland" (TBD)
Over the last few years, it's been fascinating to watch all the "Twilight" stars navigate their own unique paths from obscurity to ubiquity. Miss Ashley Greene has used her fashion sense and well-spoken demeanor to make the most out of her minimal screen time as Alice Cullen — and now she may be ready to take the next step with this '80s drama about a small-town Texas skating rink. Lucky Twilighters venturing to Sundance will be able to catch a sneak peek of the flick, which should prove that Ashley is ready to take off the training wheels.

Robert Pattinson to star in comic book. Coventry Telegraph is reporting that Robert Pattinson is going to be one of the celebrities to star in a new comic book series titled "Fame". Lady Gaga is to kick off a new comic book series revolving around the lives of pop culture icons.

Future issues of Bluewater's "Fame" series will focus on various stars such as Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent, David Beckham and Taylor Swift.

“Fame gives us the ability to tell more interesting stories about a wider variety of notable personalities. Conversely, it allows us to focus the scope of our other biography titles to more socially and political important figures.” Davis added. What do you guys think of Robert being a comic book icon? As if he needs any more fame boosters, am I right?
