::Team Twilight:: Fan Fiction Friday

There’s a special treat awaiting you this week. Lab Tech Andi’s been busy printing up shirts to help raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand so she handed over the reins to Alice. I shuffled the papers on my desk digging for my list. Where the hell was it? I suspect someone stole it, but I wasn’t sure I knew who it was or why they would do it. The lab was really a busy place lately. People were in and out at all hours of the day making it difficult to keep up with where everything was going. I had the authors in one part of the lab doing their thing. Then in another part of the lab, Bella was helping to print t-shirts for my Alex’s Lemonade Stand project. The place was a mess.

“Hey, Andi!” Bella shouted, “I need more black paint and we’re getting low on red glitter too. Any idea where the extra supplies went?”

“I thought they were over by the table, aren’t they there anymore?”

I heard her move a few boxes around. “I don’t see them.”

I slumped into my chair and groaned at the ceiling. Damn, I need help in here. I picked up the phone and dialed a number. “Hi Alice, I could really use some help –“

“Of course! I’ll be there in two minutes. Just go ahead to the store to get the things you need for the shirts and I’ll take care of everything for Friday.” she interrupted then swiftly ended the call. I pulled the phone away from my ear, staring at it in my hand. “I barely told her anything.” I mumbled to myself and I heard Bella giggle.

“Bella,” I called to her, “I’m going to get supplies. Alice will be here in a minute to get the fics ready for Friday. Call my cell if we need anything else while I’m out okay.”

“Sure thing, but do you think giving Alice free reign over Fan Fiction Friday is a good idea?”

“Oh, how bad can it be? I’m sure she’ll do fine. See you guys in a little while,” I said grabbing my keys and purse.

“If you’re sure…” Bella called back to me. “See you in a little bit.”

Walking out the door, I began to wonder what exactly I’d agreed to by having Alice take on Friday. I hoped I wasn’t making a terrible mistake.

Since Andi left me in charge of the offerings this week, I don’t think I get enough recognition for all I do. Therefore, all the fics this week will be featuring me, Alice, and of course I could never be without my Jasper. The others will be in there too so there’s no reason to panic, but these are not their stories and I’ve already seen that you’ll love them. So, just read them all ready!

First, I found this awesome completed story that weaves a tale about the first years of my vampire life until I met Jasper called “Singularity” by Openhome. As you know, when I woke, I had no memory and no maker. My thirst was the only thing I could clearly recognize and that only brought death. Yet I could see I had a choice. The wonderful thing about this story is that is stays true to the canon version of me, but since Jasper appears at the end of this story, you won’t find any sexual content here.

Next, I found a very funny completed fic call “The Good Looking Loony Toons Stalker Guy” by jajo. In this tale Jasper is an incubus and I’m human. Jasper acts so strange that I nearly take out a restraining order, but things start to come together. The very unique thing about this story is that not all the characters are vampires and there are quite a few surprises.

Third, I dug on this in-progress story titled “Oh Baby Baby” by beckaboowriter. In this tale, we’re all human and Jasper and I are getting married. But everything gets turned around when I find out I’m pregnant with Jasper’s baby. Dun, dun, dun. I know this isn’t how I would want it, but is this everything that Jasper wants? Or will it tear us apart forever?

And finally, I found this hot little one shot called “Yoga Master” by mskathy. Here, over-worked, stressed, single dad Jasper decides to take yoga. I work my magic and turn him into a long, lean, peaceful, muscled man. Late one night after a breakthrough yoga session, things get intense and actions are certainly louder than words.

I know Andi always finds some recipe to go along with these, but I don’t eat or drink human food. So, I just found something fun. I hope it turns out okay, but if you don’t like it, don’t blame me.

“Kitty Litter Cake”

Ingredients
1 package Spice cake mix
1 package white cake mix
2 packages instant vanilla pudding mix
1 package vanilla sandwich cookies
3 drops green food coloring
1 package tootsie rolls
1 new kitty litter box
1 new pooper scooper

Directions
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to package directions (any size pan).
Prepare pudding according to package directions and chill until ready to assemble.
Crumble sandwich cookies in small batches in a food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but 1/4 cup. To the 1/4 cup add a few drops of green food coloring and mix.
When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss with 1/2 of the remaining cookie crumbs, and the chilled pudding. You probably won't need all of the pudding, you want the cake to be just moist, not soggy.
Line kitty litter box with the kitty litter liner. Put cake mixture into box.
Put half of the unwrapped tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until softened. Shape the ends so that they are no longer blunt, and curve the tootsie rolls slightly. Bury tootsie rolls randomly in the cake and sprinkle with half of the remaining cookie crumbs. Sprinkle a small amount of the green colored cookie crumbs lightly over the top.
Heat 3 or 4 of the tootsie rolls in the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle lightly with some of the green cookie crumbs. Heat the remaining tootsie rolls until pliable and shape as before. Spread all but one randomly over top of cake mixture. Sprinkle with any remaining cookie crumbs. Hang the remaining tootsie roll over side of litter box and sprinkle with a few green cookie crumbs. Serve with the pooper scooper for a gross Halloween dessert.
