::TEAM EDWARD: WFE Georgia Farm is Ready For Closeup

Carol Cross’ Georgia farm will be filled with movie lights, camera and action this weekend, but she may not be there during the shooting, even though film stars Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon may be.

“I’m not gonna be a nuisance,” said Cross, whose husband, Gary, co-owns the farm with his brother, Tommy. “I have no idea where we are going to be or anything like that. We are just along for the ride.”

A crew will be on the Kensington, Ga., farm to shoot part of the movie “Water for Elephants,” which stars Pattinson, made famous by his role as the vampire Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” film series, and Witherspoon, the Nashville native who won a Best Actress Oscar for “Walk the Line.”

Though 20th Century Fox, which is producing the movie, has said only that the film is in production, a casting call for extras said shooting will take place in the Chattanooga area today through Monday.

It is not clear if Pattinson and Witherspoon will actually be at the farm during the shooting or exactly what other locations might be used. Cross said she had not been told specifics about how long the crew will be at the Kensington farm.

Local fans, as well as others around the country, have been communicating online, trying to find the locations in hopes they can catch a glimpse of the stars, especially Pattinson, whose diehard fans are said to be part of “Team Edward.”

Molly Suttle, 18, of Soddy-Daisy, said she heard of the possible visit last week and created a page on Yahoo.com so her friends could share information about the filming here.

“He is famous and he is one of our favorite actors and one of our favorite musicians, so it’s one of those things where we are not plotting or planning to stalk him,” she said. “He’s a movie star and we are so excited that he is gonna be here in Chattanooga of all places.

“I am a fan of ‘Twilight,’ but I also like his other things, and I love his music,” she said.

Walker County sheriff’s deputies will be on the set in Kensington, monitoring traffic flow and the number of people in the area, said Sheriff Steve Wilson. But he doesn’t think there will be any traffic snarls or massive crowds.

“I don’t anticipate closing the road,” he said. “If the traffic does become a problem, we may.”

Cross said the film crew has been doing “cosmetic work” on the interior and exterior of the house located on her farm. She said neither she nor her husband were familiar with Pattinson or Witherspoon’s work prior to being contacted by a film scout about using their house in the film.

“We are simple people and we live very simply,” she said. “This is an exciting thing for us. It’s gonna be a whirlwind and it’s gonna be over.”

::Team Edward:: Rob Says Fans Protected Him From Paparazzi on WFE Set

Paparazzi have always been a long-time nuisance for celebrities all over the world. But then what would we do without them? But when things go from bothersome to troublesome, that’s when the paparazzi game can be a bit of an annoyance, and the fans of Robert Pattinson were not having it on the set of  Water For Elephants.

ROBERT PATTINSON’s fans came to his rescue on the set of WATER FOR ELEPHANTS – they forced the paparazzi to stop snapping the star as he shot dangerous scenes with REESE WITHERSPOON.
Snappers frequently descended on the California set to try and catch Pattinson and Witherspoon at work, and at one stage they were distracting the pair during a scene – but the Twilight star’s waiting fans saved the day.
He tells Telepoche magazine, “(The funniest fan experience) happened while I was filming Water for Elephants in which my partner is Reese Witherspoon. We had a scene with elephants but there were so many paparazzi around that it was scaring the animals and it was impossible to film.
“Out of the blue, fans, that were waiting for autographs, had enough and circled around the paparazzi. Teens made big guys run away. It was unreal! I was pleased.”

::Team Edward:: Water For Elephants Hiring Extras.

Want to be seen in an upcoming Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon flick? Producers of "Water for Elephants" (which will also star recent-Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz) posted an ad this morning on Craigslist in Los Angeles seeking extras of various types for the film, which currently in pre-production. If you’re in L.A. and available for the casting on April 17th, this could be your chance at cinematic glory!

“Water for Elephants” pairs Robert and Reese together once again (remember when Robert played Reese’s son in 2004’s “Vanity Fair”?) in a tale based on the historical novel of the same name by Sara Gruen. The story, as told in the novel, follows a series of intense memories by Jacob Jankowski, a man in his 90s. Jacob remembers the year he was 23, preparing for his final exams at Cornell University, when he received news that his parents were killed in a car accident.

As "WFE" continues, Jacob leaves school to join the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth and put his skills to use during the Great Depression. When Jacob — who presumably aspires to be like his veterinarian father — sees how badly head trainer August (Christoph) treats the animals, he struggles to reconcile August’s brutality with his at times charming personality. The plot thickens as Jacob, a virgin, falls in love with August’s wife Marlena (Reese). Sounds juicy, eh?

The Craigslist ad (which is "verified," according to the "WFE" Twitter account) notes that the production is currently seeking the following:

- Caucasian men with very 1930s looking period faces

- African American men with short 1930s period haircuts, all size 46 coat or smaller

- Caucasian women with shoulder length hair or shorter, size 6 or smaller

- Also you should note: "No piercings, tattoos, no breast implants, no artificial nails, no highlighted or colored hair."

Screenwriter Richard LaGravenese is adapting Gruen’s novel and Francis Lawrence of “I am Legend” and “Constantine” fame will direct. All signs point to this becoming R-Pattz’s next big hit, so get your pictures together NOW!
