:: Team Eclipse :: Countdown to Eclipse DVD Release: Rosalie's Advice

3 MORE DAYS!!! I think I'm getting happier as each day goes by!! I mean, earlier today as I was driving in to get my tires checked, I noticed the Eclipse poster hanging in our local Blockbuster window... I was grinning like a fool, until I almost ran into the back of someone... ONLY ME!

"Why yes officer, I was totally distracted by the Eclipse poster hanging in Blockbuster." LOL

Today's clip is Rosalie's back story. This is the only back story I enjoyed however, like my sister, I was little disappointed in one thing... According to the book, Rosalie goes to Bella, who is asleep in a bed Edward brought in for her, and THEN the infamous "LEG HITCH" happens... This sets up that "phone call" at the end of Bella's book in Breaking Dawn.  I wonder how Rosenberg will fix this....

Anyhoo... enjoy and mark off your calendar as we countdown till Eclipse releases to DVD!!!

::TEAM ROSALIE:: Rosalie's 'Breaking Dawn' Motives Are 'Personal' Not 'Pro-Life,' Nikki Reed Says

As "Twilight" fans well know, there are several slightly controversial and uncomfortable scenes in "Breaking Dawn," the final book of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series. Going into the last two films, the big questions on fans' minds seem to revolve around the infamous birthing and imprinting scenes.

One key participant in the birthing scene is Rosalie Hale, who becomes so obsessed with Bella having Edward's baby that she will stop at nothing to see her born — even if it means compromising Bella's life.

When Rosalie herself, Nikki Reed, stopped by to talk with MTV News about her upcoming indie film "Last Day of Summer," we asked what she thinks about her character's firm beliefs on that subject matter and how she'll tackle those difficult scenes in the films.

"Here's how I look at it: I try not to be super opinionated and vocal, because in Hollywood, that seems to only lead you in the wrong direction," Reed said. "I try to relate this particular case to Rosalie and not make it metaphorical or symbolic of anything else."

Reed said Rosalie's strong feelings toward the baby are tied to her prior life as a human and never having had the chance to be a mother herself.

"I think that Rosalie just always wanted to be a mom, and that's how I look at it," she said. "It has nothing to do with being pro-life or anything. I think it's about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she's ever going to have, so she's willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that's how I look at it. It's her own personal desires."

"Dawn" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg also weighed in on the infamous scene recently, telling us she plans to write it so everyone feels the pain of the experience. "I want to see the terror of the experience," Rosenberg said. "I want to have the experience of the fear and feel her pain. I want to feel every one's pain in this."

What do you think motivates Rosalie to fight for Bella's baby? Is it her want to have her own baby? Or is she genuinely scared or fearful for Bella? Voice you opinion in the comments!!

::Team Twilight:: Fan Fiction Friday BONUS **Camp Cullen needs our help**

Hey! It’s been rumored that Lab Tech Andi had a Fan Fiction Friday Bonus. I know you weren’t expecting bonuses to be available quite so soon, but this one is special. When you get to the blue door at the back of the shack, you’ll have to knock to the rhythm of “Kumbaya” and the password is “S'mores” to gain access. Be Safe!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Friday was finally coming to a close, so when the knocks on the door started to slow down, I thought I’d relax for a bit with my friend DazzleMe Cullen and fix us a couple of Irritable Grizzlies. Suddenly, without warning, the door flew open wide, hitting the wall and warping a few of the hinges. Since Emmett and Rosalie were still supposed to be out gathering up authors to stock my lab, you can imagine my shock when a wild looking Rosalie stood in the open space. She was covered head to toe with soot while leaves and twigs were all caught up in her golden hair; I’d never seen her appear so disheveled. So, with concern, I stood from my chair to greet her, but she flashed over to me before I could get to her.

“Andi, you have to help them!!” she all but shouted at me.

“Help who, Rose? I’m a human, there’s only so much help I would be to a vampire, unless I were their lunch.” I responded back, and then started to look around her. “Where’s Emmett, Rose? He was supposed to be with you; did something happen?” I put a hand on her arm to try and calm her, but it wasn’t working.

“We were out, looking for authors like you wanted.” she walked around me to sit in my chair. “While going through Trinity, Texas, we passed a road sign for Cullen Loop; Emmett thought it was funny, so we followed it. We ended up at a YMCA youth camp called Camp Cullen. It was still early, so we thought we’d look around. Then, Emmett caught sight of a small brown bear sniffing around near the dining hall. Fearing the safety of the kids, Emmett went after it, but bumped into a power line in the process. Andi, it set the building on fire! Now, those poor children have no where to eat and the camp is going to have to close for the rest of the summer!” She put her face into her hands and mumbled, “It was an accident; Emmett didn’t mean to destroy their dining hall.” Finally looking up at me, she took both my hands in hers, “Isn’t there something we can do?”

I looked at Rose and then looked at DazzleMe, when she gave me a small nod I turned back to Rose and said, “We’ll see what we can do?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

DazzleMe Cullen contacted the camp director about possibly buying some t-shirts from them. They were super sweet, and would love it if we'd buy the t-shirts. Since they had to close the camp for the summer, they have a bunch lying around.

No Adult mediums left, but the rest in Adult and Kids sizes are available at $20 per shirt, which includes delivery in the US, not sure if they will do international. If you’re interested in getting one, contact Shelby Cox via email at Shelby.Cox@ymcahouston.org or call 936-594-2274.

If you’d like to just make a donation to the camp you can follow this link to do so:

As an extra special treat, I’m offering up one final fan fic for the day. It’s the sequel to the “Cullen Family Camping Trip” titled “Cullen Family Camping Trip II: Back to the Woods” by LeesaM. In this fic, all the Cullens have 22 silly chapters and 3 outtakes to display their fair share of zany behavior and harmlessly pranking a few of their old classmates. After the first camping trip, Bella and the Cullens were ready to put it behind them and move toward the upcoming wedding, until Charlie's 'thank you' present sends the household back into a panic - and back to the woods at a youth camp. Thankfully, no innocent dining halls were harmed in the creation of this fan fic.

Now, I would probably suggest s’mores to go along with this campfire tale, but I think that would be in poor taste, don’t you? So I’ll offer up somethin’ just as tasty, but will cool the fires all the same, I call it a “Vampire's Blood Smoothie”.

1/2 cup lemonade
1 cup crushed ice
2 scoops raspberry sorbet
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup frozen strawberries

In a blender, process the ingredients until smooth. Serve in a tall glass and garnish with strawberry.

So here’s keeping my fingers crossed that Emmett won’t destroy anything else, by accident or on purpose, and Rosalie will fix my door before next week. I’ll be locked up tight in the Love Shack Laboratory if you need a fix. Tweet (FanFicDealer), Message, or email (fanficdealer@gmail.com) if you want to talk shop.

The deal has been made. ;)

::Team Eclipse:: Nikki Reed talks to fans on Facebook chat.

In honor of the release of the second "Eclipse." trailer (press play below to see it!), last night was the first ever live Facebook chat between fans and the stars of "The Twilight Saga," hosted by Summit Entertainment. While only about 8,000 viewers tuned in (we say "only" because we know there are millions of you out there), it was a nice chance to let the stars — Nikki Reed, Julia Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard — show off their chemistry and tell some tales from the set of "Eclipse." Even some news worthy stuff slipped in.

Rosalie Hale in the 1930s
Yesterday we had questioned whether or not Rosalie and the wolf pack would be getting flashbacks in the film for their backstories, and Nikki answered the former during the live chat. She said they had been able to do a decent amount of filming in the 1930s and get a chance to explain where Rosalie's character was coming from.
"Kristen and I shot a really intense seven page scene where I was just pouring my heart and explaining why I am the way I am," Nikki said, adding that Rosalie was "not a one dimensional character." "It's a frustrating feeling. You don't really get to say what you want to say, and you hope that you can convey what you want to say in the two seconds you're on screen."
She also tossed out Jack Huston's name as the actor playing her ex-fiance Royce King, who you will know best from the TV show "Eastwick."
David Slade's goofy side
While all the actresses said that director David Slade was a great person to work with and was very detail oriented and personal, they shared tales that he also had a very silly side on set.
"David likes to step into these characters. He's incredible with accents. He would invent like these hypothetical situations and would create these characters and we would all play along," said Nikki, adding that it takes a certain type of person to go along with the silliness. "When you have five pounds of white make up on, it's really important to have a light atmosphere."
The most terrifying actor to fight with in "Eclipse"
Bryce and Nikki spent a lot of time talking about the grueling fight training they had to go through to become physically fit in the film. It meant weeks of personal training, fight training and running on huge treadmills to learn how to move evasively at a fast speed. Bryce said, of all the burly men on set, the person she was most terrified of during these training sessions was Nikki.
"I never partnered with Nikki because she was terrifying in fight training," Bryce admitted with a laugh.
"I get really intense," Nikki agreed.
Jackson Rathbone's battle wounds
Thanks to harnesses and trained professionals, there weren't many serious injuries sustained while filming the fight sequences in "Eclipse." But Nikki said there was one scary moment when Jackson Rathbone was hit by a stray punch and got pretty injured.
"He got punched in the head by Kellan [Lutz], of all people," she said. "He went to the hospital, he had a huge egg on his head. I would not want to get punched by Kellan."
Apparently not everyone agrees with Nikki's final statement. Bryce turned to her and said with a laugh, "I would prefer to get punched by Kellan than Nikki."
Also, in case you missed it, the official Eclipse movie site is now up and running!
